Mix by ear

Sometimes it just comes down to the old school way. Technology is not perfect... yet. Mixing by ear to less than a half beat difference should be fairly simple even for the novice DJ.

Seems mixing by ear virtually speaking can depend heavily on the controller you use... Ex: touch sensitive jog wheels etc.

well then i guess ima mix by ear thaks averybody

Will that analyzer work with VDJ? Will that info show up in the tag or something like that? I have it too, just downloaded it tonight, but it seems to export as a txt file. Not really sure I understand how it works.

Thanks for the time and info

Hi, don't forget that if virtual dj has got the bpm wrong then you can alter the "beat grid" to make it fit the music.

Just load the song and click on the "BPM" button on most skins and a little window will pop up and on one of the tabs you will be able to make the grid fit with the song.

Yeah old skool tab it in your self.

Beatbreaker, mixmeister bpm analizer recordes bpm to mp3 tag, just add bpm coloum to your browser. You may have to scan for tags, come on man you know that.

Charlie they have an app that will only analyze your tracks but in its help folder it says nothing about writing it back to the tag. And when I tried to export the bpm's it was saving it as a text file that can be read with notepad........ I check there forums. And see what's up.

Ummm, learn to beatmix by ear. Letting the software do all the mixing for you really makes you no better than a jukebox. The best way to gain the respect of other DJ's is to mix without relying on the software visual cues and auto-sync feature. The ONLY way to accomplish that is:

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!!
