I have a Alienware M15X I'm having trouble setting up sound, this laptop has 2 audio outs, the manual says the audio signal is the same on both jacks. I'm using a external mixer, I have output set to "external mixer" sound card set to "mono seperated" primary soundcard, with a splitter on each end so I have left/right deck A & left/right deck B I have used this setup on both my dell 9300 for the past few years without issue. What I get on my Alienware M15X is both decks coming through both channels, Ive tried every setup option in VDJ.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Nice CP: try set you CP soundcard to stereo and use 1 out on your CP then use a Y to go to your mixer. or just buy a ex soundcard.

Preferably you should purchase a proper dedicated DJ sound card with at least two stereo outputs such as Numark DJIO or Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ. This will give you both master output and headphone pre-listening in STEREO.

Of you can add a basic stereo USB sound card for your headphones if you are on a budget.

If you use the mono separated options, then you will only have MONO sound, which is not ideal for live performance.

NOTE: You cannot use the two outputs built into your computer for separate master/headphones (Unless you use the mono separated option), because both outputs are not independent and they both output the same stereo audio signal.
