Hi all, so I just recently purchased the IDJ3 with virtual DJ and i've been working on my DJing skills. These forums, when dumb ppl stay off, are very helpful and useful! So my question is, I'm looking to purchase a sound card so that I am able to hear my cued up song in my head phones while the live track is playing. The ID3 is capable of this correct? And what are some suggestions for good soundcards? (Moderately priced)

Numark DJIO is good and also the NI AUDIO 2. Then a step up from them I have got to say the DeeJay Trim 4+6 is very good.
If you go here http://www.virtualdj.com/products/hardware.html it will tell you a little bit about each (and more cards are listed).
Hope this helps

you are correct, the iDJ3 is capable of this... but if you want better quality sound, research the sound cards Ian mentioned above.

Additional question...my computer has a sound card and my IDJ3 has a sound card-can I use both these sound cards to play a live track and use headphones to listen to my cued track? Instead of buying an external sound card? If so, can you direct me on to do this?

Nevermind, the headphones and useage guide was very helpful and I was able to get it worked out...for now anyway!
