Hi Im using serato cv02 control vinyls through VDJ7 on Technics 1200 mk5's (Windows 7, Stanton FinalScratch2)
The problem I am having is when the pitch slider on the turntable is between +1 and -1 it will not have any effect on the BPM of the song which is playing, it locks it at the original BPM (lets say 70BPM) If i go outside +1 / -1 the bpm will suddenly jump to where it should be.
So basically anywhere outside of the original BPM of the track, the pitch control is smooth and linear. but if you get close to original BPM it locks.
Impossible to mix 70BPM with 71BPM unless you increase the pitch to around 73 if you understand what I mean?
Auto pitch matching is disabled
Auto cue is disabled
Disengage beatlock is set to manual
Please help me i need to know asap as I am playing tomorrow! this is really annoying

post a picture of your timecode debug window so we can see your signal coming through, other than that worn needles, poor connection to your soundcard, outdated drivers for the soundcard, worn records, TT's not properly grounded, can cause erratic behavior but generally when your further from zero. It could even be the electrics in the techies...
try to play a real record on them, to do this you will need to press the aux button on the default skin so the signal comes through, vdj will have a bpm for the signal, not sure how precise it'll be though so use your ears and mix it with another track so you can compare the pitch change. You can also look at the markings on the side of the platter.

the turntables and connections are working fine.
I just tried the exact same setup on virtualdj 5 and it works perfectly, pitch is completely linear right through the spectrum, so it has to be something to do with the virtualdj 7 software..

if your using a cracked version that is usually the drawback... you can download the home edition It will be unlocked for 1 month, that should get you through tomorrow and give you time to test it properly with no bugs. I'm using vdj 7.3 "I think" on a standard win 7 32bit 2.4 ghz lappy (nothing special), audio 8 soundcard, turntables, cv2 vinyls and have no problem, so the software is sound.
You have a better quality, lower latency soundcard than mine so that shouldn't be the problem unless it is the drivers, if the turntables are fine that does just leave the software...

This problem has been there since version 6 and is still in version 7.
What ever changed from vesrion 5 must be the problem thats why i went and purchased other software elseware although i do always check to see if these problems have been fixed in every update as there are many features i prefer in vdj but as a dj reliabilty is more important.
