Topic: Synth for the non producer ?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hello,

im new to this ive been steadily been improving my dj skills and updated my equipment a little bit. I got the korg mini-KP which has allowed me to be a lot more artistic with the whole thing and the hercules rmx isnt the best for effects. So im wondering how about a synth added in ? Just some harmonic sounds over the songs im playing, i dont want to produce or anything but maybe do some improv between songs or over the songs. how does the set up sound ? do other people do this ? what synth would be a good one ? im thinking about the roland sh-201 but it seems that they dont make it anymore but it looks awsome.

thanks in advance and keep up this amazing site

most of it is done but still not complete, I can send it to you if you like, but there will be a couple of plugins you need to download and change on your skin to include another 2 decks that you wont be able to see for the reletive bit, or 26 more decks for the piano one, it is just untested and there is no definition file, could you make one that includes the leds for the pads? I hate writing definition files LOL

i was talking about an analog synth, but i dont think you guys got my question

ah analog is the key word lol, id do for a midi keyboard and a soft synth, quality analog synths cost a small fortune

EDIT
===============
every vst i have tried either doesn't show, crashes or has no sound output, beyond that there is no way to control the notes as vdj doesnt have that ability... I was just making a workaround that you could play on a keyboard in any minor key by pressing the same piano key on the keyboard, so if you don't understand musical scales you can still play a melody in the key of the playing song, but this is not a live synth, sure you can add effects but you need to pre make the sounds to trigger.

if you want a real synth for a DAW get nexus, all programmed sounds that you can tweek a little
