no backups? For what its worth you could try my flac tool, it fully rewrites the database. Just make a backup of your current before trying that
Inviato Wed 10 Aug 11 @ 8:55 am
That's very unusual. check the file location for the db to see date changed, size etc.
If all the info has been wiped you should just use your most recent backup.
Is it the main db with the problem or the db on an external hdd?

Its probably water after the wine, but I allways use freefilesync to synchronize the whole 'my documents\VirtualDJ' folder to a network drive, allong with many other items ofcourse. Saves you from lots of shit :P

what i dont get, is all the info seems to be in the database file, but its just not showing in vdj.

You don't per chance have 2 sessions of VDJ running?
Inviato Wed 10 Aug 11 @ 11:57 am
nope, just one. i might just delete it and re scan the enrire drive, there is a lot of stuff i need to sort out really, so i might have to rebuild and keep several back ups.

Hey John, you need to swap your blulite for a red light :)

Those weekend tarts are cheaper in the long run, your both there for one reason and one reason only..........none of that other crap, besides you already got kids with one why would you want more with another??
Do the math its cheaper in the end

it may be cheaper, but to be quite fair ive never met a woman in a club that has in my opinion been worthy..
i actually have kids to 2 women already. i have 4, 3 boy and a girl.
according to the spiritualist im going to have another 2 to another woman also. though i think i actually marry that one.

What is the problem with vdj? I mean really. Worked with vdj5. It definitely opened alot of doors for me.
I don't understand why u would make a newer version that completely sux. Hustle backwards? Really? Vdj7... let's see... I scanned for bpm about 20,000 mp3 I slept and 4 the second time it only successfully scanned maybe 25 percent. I just bought the mixtracl mind u it doesn't work with five. Because someone is too lazy to make a lil driver compatible with 5. 7 lags a whole lot. And do.t tell me its the laptop. Brand new quadcore nvidia video 2000 video graphics ram. N 4 gig of system ram. This sux. I can't refer anyone to vdj7 like I did 5 because u guys are letting me down. Im ready to check out Tracktor. I hate VDJ7 add a 4 turntable skin and slack on the rest. Not a move forward. Maybe molving backwards if at al

There is no problem with VDJ.
I've got VDJ 7 running on a laptop that's probably about 5 years old now, and it runs fine.

No, it's your spelling and grammar that "sux", along with your attitude!

@Groovin, that's real helpful. If your not even gonna try to help just but out bro!
@Kingmico, first why are you rescanning your tracks if they were already done in version 5? If you went from 5 to 6 to 7 there's no need to do it all over again. When you say your Mixtrack doesn't work your gonna have to more specific, does it connect, connects but doesn't control anything?? The more detail the better. When you say lag, what's lagging?? If your talking about the platters when you scratch then were back to the first question when you said it didn't work. If you are talking about the platters when scratching there's a registry hack for that but you'd have to have upgrade your account to pro status in order to download the tool and yes it makes a world of difference. I have used Traktor and for me the only good thing is the effects, other then that its a bitch to map and the platter response is not good in my opinion.
Answer the questions and be specific

VDJ 7 is 99.9% bug free.
How about letting us help with the problems before you go off on one?
This is likely to be a configuration issue with your current PC, just because it's new and powerful doesn't mean it is optimised for DJ use or free of bloatware.
As explained, if you had asked here on the forum, the advice would have been to go from VDJ5 to 6 to 7 then your database would have been converted properly and you wouldn't have had to scan all your files again. P.S. corrupted MP3's generally cause the scan to crash or stop so it's not a VDJ issue either.
