...how Numark only compares Traktor and Serato when they do two totally different things... and i also find it funny that they always leave out VDJ, and judging by most of the comments, is more widely used.

Virtual DJ is the most used DJ software and even DJ product on the planet. They don't require the fancy marketing and association that most other brands do, it's nice to see it when it happens but VDJ has became massive mainly through word of mouth, surely the best marketing strategy (free) and the best review (based on real users opinions).
Most other brands have to throw a ton of money into the marketing machine to get any return.

I think they are comparing traktor and serato because both have very good timecodes.

Yeah bro I saw that post on Facebook! I found it funny too. IMO Serato is way different than everything else. I use VDJ cuz I'm used to it since "Atomixmp3". I'm talking about a lot of years! And I find Traktor a little boring for me. I have not had much experience with Serato but I do like it cuz it looks really cool. But VDJ is just awesome for me, even working only with my Hercules RMX I make absolutely great things with it. I could have bought a Traktor license too or something else. But I'm really happy with VDJ. I don't wanna think about how would it be if I had a more professional controller like a NS6 or one of the new Pioneer controllers, or maybe some turntables. OMG it would be crazy man!!!
On the other hand, people use what they need. If you want scratching, go with Serato. But if you want everything together, and you wanna make the best mixes much easier and comfortable, go with VDJ.

As stated before, if you want to make a comparison, it should be fair. You really can't compare VDJ to the others, because VDJ is in another league. The other softwares are very good at what they do, it's just that they can't do what VDJ does. If you just want to play some music, there are at least 10 softwares to choose from. Take a pick, and you will be fine, because they all do the same very well. However, if you want to have options, there is only one choice. I can do audio, video, and karaoke with one software. If my sound-card goes on the fritz or I drop it on Friday night, I can continue to play with any spare that I want, including the on-board card. I can use any controller on the market, from the little toys, to the most sophisticated. All my upgrades are free. I can stop right here, but I wont. A great forum, quick fixes for bugs. Free samples, skins, audio and video effects. Live camera feed, live slide-show. Text to screen, and DMX plug ins. I could go on, but I said all this in one breath. You are free to use whatever works for you, and I will not trash your decision with some childish comments.
