Hello, I just purchased the Numark Mixdeck. Well I have recently been practicing on it, just kinda playing around. Well I tryed to record my first mix a second ago and things didnt go right. I noticed when i first plugged it in that if i moved the crossfader on the mixdeck, it wasnt moving it on virtualdj. It was like froze. Same for the Volume Sliders, and The EQS. Say if i had the crossfader onto the left deck, the right deck was still playing (In my mix). Can someone help me?

Have a look at this Mixdeck Recording/Broadcasting Guide. This will guide you through the setup process.

the SOUND INSURGENT
The mixer section on the Mixdeck is not MIDI it will not control the software in any way. Its all in the manual and is pretty well known. But yeah follow the guide Ace posted a link for and you'll be good to go.

The mixer section of the MixDeck is a real hardware audio mixer and is not MIDI capable.

It would be nice if, after selecting 'external mixer' in the output config, there was no onscreen mixer.
That way, people wouldn't be confused by onscreen controls that do nothing.
