I placed an ad on my local Kijiji site looking for DJ's to operate my second/third system I've put together.
The Ad Specifically states MOBILE DJ wanted.
I've gotten several inquiries back with:
"I don't drive" or "I don't have my own vehicle"
Ummm how do you expect me to hire you out as a Mobile DJ - If you are not Mobile?

I am a mobile dj that does about 20 gigs a year and I dont drive or even have a drivers license. I dj as a second income and my main job is a live in building superintendant. I hire a friend to drop me off and pick me up from my gigs, and for what i pay him it would cost me the same to gas up/insure and operate a cargo van for the night.

I've had the same thing when I've posted job vacancies, it's very strange.

Finally got an applicant with a suitable Vehicle.
Now for Part II:
Can they lift This:

Into their Vehicle.
Most events have Elevators or loading Ramps. I'm very picky about where I have to load gear & have turned away business because of it.
All they have to do Is lift the sub from the Curb to the Vehicle and back down again.
Ahh the Glamorous, Fullfilling life of a Mobile DJ

Those B-52 subs are PITA. That is one of the sets where the amps for all 3 speakers are housed in the sub enclosure right?

The 1000 Series sub weighs in @ 120lbs ( complete 180 lbs )
The 2000 Series sub weighs in @ 160lbs ( complete 245 lbs )
My concern would be the hard drive. I think you can lock them so they cant be copied, but thats a hell of allot of money to entrust in someone you just met. Unless you just have mp3's and no videos or karaoke, then no big deal.
