Hay, I'm interested in moving up to timecode vinyls as it looks awesome. But I have some general questions in which I'm hoping some of you experts can answer.
1. Is it worth it?
2. Is it worth buying the cheaper option, buying two UF202's in which I heard that works.
3. Does buying certain turntables effect speed efficiency for VDJ, such as a lot of record decks only handle 10% & VDJ can run up to 100% like most CDJ's. How do I go about sorting that?
4. Is there anything else I need to know about it?
5. Which decks would be best to buy? As I am trying to spend as little a possible, as I am a cheapskate (jokes!) I've always thought quality money payments = quality products personally.
6. Would it be possible to run a MIDI controller such as the VCI-100 with timecode decks? Such as being able to control to 2 channels with all 4 decks and midi controller? Or maybe use the 4deck skin for 2X MIDI controller and 2X timecode?
I hope I make sense. Thank you for all responses.

you have to get good tables if you are going to get em, I had pioneer 3500's they were absolutly terrible, they could never hold speed and were incredibly sensitive when pitchbending, these tables are probably the reason that it took so long to learn beatmatching... if your not willing to part with a few hundred id say stick with midi until you get some cash together as you would just be throwing money away on cheap tables.

Stick with midi if you want to use virtual dj.
Timecodes and virtual dj work terrible together.
I spent 100's of pound on different sound cards, decks and needles but could just not get virtual dj running smooth.
Then i parted with some cash on traktor and the timecode sitiuation is loads better with them.

And still going strong, opening for Sublime November 13!! Yup ill be using VDJ with timecodes!!
But my advice for this dude is to stick with MIDI controllers. Nothing will ever replace the feel of vinyl but controllers are getting better and better all the time. Find a decent controller, learn the basics and get your style established. Then after all that is done if you still have the need to get tables, go for it.
Good Luck in whatever path you take

Sorry guys, but I think I'm going to still go along with it. I'm still keeping my MIDI too. =)

I had problems running the ufo soundcards with two timecodes, i could never get it to work right, took em back, bought a hercules RMX to use with my TT's, and its tons better.
