Topic: What is the latest controller you recommend? Mobile use... - Page: 1

I am curious what everyone recommends for the best controller out there - I am leaning towards the Denon MC6000. I am a mobile dj and do lots of weddings and corporate. I like taking back up equipment and being prepared. So, trying to decide if I still need to take a dj cd player. I mix a lot of videos and actually building a shuttle computer - as I roughly have 3 Tb of music, videos, and karaoke and want to be able to do it all. Rackmount controller? Cd Player?

MC6000 is the perfect choice. You can just plug an iPod or similar in to one of the spare channels for a backup. It works great with VDJ and is easily mapped.

So comprehensive and durable but yet compact. One of the best controllers I\'ve seen to date.

The controllers now have a AUX input for CD/Ipod/Phone,& sound-card build in it,I use a RMX with a mixer and line 2 is for mic/CD,Ipod.The Denon Mc-600 looks very detail for what your doing, but ask your self will you be playing Cd in 2 or 3 years,if so than you need a rack-mount Cd play/controller that will do both software and CD's all in one & will work with VDJ & you set up.

Just picked up an mc6000 last week and it's perfect. highly recommend it

The MC6000 is a solid unit, solid construction and it has a pro grade feel. The only draw back for me is that it only has a 2in/out soundcard, meaning you can only connect one turntable/cd player to use with time codes...

Im also considering the VMS2, its half the price of the DN6000, plus it has 4in/out soundcard.
Its not as wide but the jog wheels are slightly bigger and metal, plus you are able to replace the cross-fader should you need to without opening the whole unit.

Both are solid metal construction...
I like the idea of an all in one compact unit, but at home i like putting my hands on vinyl so the VMS2 is right up my alley...

MC6000 all the way.

Been using mine for a few months now in a club environment. I have an iPod with a 4 hour recording of a full night (without mic) that I use as a safety backup. But also, when I'm setting up, I plug the outputs into the club mixer from the MC6000 first and then power it up so that I can start the iPod playing music thru channel 4 before the computer is setup. I then start setting up the computer, mic, headphones and video links etc.

I also use the mic thru the MC6000, works great and excellent quality.

For club use...the NS6

For mobile use...the one and only MC6000

I use the MC6000 in a club, love it.

I love my MC6000!!! I have had it for a few weeks and love the fact that it is rack mountable! Upgraded from a PCDJ dac3.....big change for the better!!!

I just got a Mixdeck Express and it has worked great and it also has other sources that you can use cd players media drives and a input channel as well (great for backup).

I have the Mixdeck, starting to have issues with the buttons (gatta press really hard in order for them to work, seems to be a common issue with them), ive contacted Numark and even though its out of warranty, they are still going to take care of it for me, good customer service :)

Great concept, ill give'm that. Would consider more the NS6 which is based more on the NS7... but there is no way anyone can wrong with the MC 6000...

If your going to use a controller for Music videos plus audio, Buy the Denon Mc6000 or The Numark N4. If its only for Audio, Buy the NS7 or NS6. The NS6 and NS7 uses more OS resources and thats alot of Djs have problems with their laptops. The New Music videos are being released in HD quality and your laptop has to have more than enough power to handle the O.S. plus the Dj software running videos.

You should check out the MixVibes VFX - http://www.mixvibes.com/content/vfx-control-0

I saw it at BPM and you can mix audio + video, video only or audio only. I had a play on it and I thought it was pretty cool. I think it's rack mountable too?

That controller is not natively supported by VirtualDJ, so unless you wish to map it yourself, we would not recommend it.

Another vote for the MC6000. I own it. I take it to play at clubs when I guest DJ or when playing with other DJ's. Nice and compact and fits in a large backpack.

For mobile use it is rack mountable and also great controller for doing videos.

Native to both Traktor and VDJ

Maybe you take a look at the ZOMO MC-1000.

First reviews of german users are very positive.
Its small, comes with a good powerfull sound interface, 4 deck control and has a nice feel.

I think its better to stick with equipment that has been proven to work flawless with Virtual DJ.

I agree with Caliente, the last thing you want is for things to start acting up at a crucial moment, using hardware that has native support reduces that issue significantly, and the great thing about VDJ is that its not limited to a few controllers. Check out these links might find something you like.

*** some controllers do not appear because this guide was made for VDJ 6, but any of those are fully compatible with VDJ ***

That ZOMO MC1000 looks pretty nice!! Wish I could find it in the states cause I'd seriously consider scooping one up. I love that tilt design, it'd go great with Ecler NUO4. Just wish they had a model with out the soundcard.

Anybody in the states know where I can get one?
