on E: drive and I'm getting another folder showing up in this location labeled VDJ Local Database.xml......Is this normal?....Why isn't the

VDJ Local Database.xml not saving in the main VDJ Folder on my C: Drive?...........If I try to bkup this Local Database.xml folder, I

browse to it on my E: drive and it does not show up in my backup utility, all of my normal albums and tracks do show up however......thnkx

Basically for every drive you use with vdj there will be a database built for that drive. At least that's how I understand it works, lol!

Huey

Exactly!
For EVERY drive (even a usb thumb drive) that VDJ browses, it creates a "VirtualDJ Local Database v6.xml" file on the root of the disk. This file holds the database for the songs contained on the particular drive.
The ONLY drive that doesn't get a "VirtualDJ Local Database v6.xml" file on the root is the SYSTEM drive that you will find a "VirtualDJ Database v6.xml" file on the C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\VirtualDJ folder.

Exactly .. They all Right .. Anyways i wanted to know if those databases can be Joined and Combined.... Cuz Itz Hurty having a dB on a Drive and anoda One. I find them to be Plenty and also dont wana go back and scan for BPMs and what ever ... Any idea on how to join those db to ur Old ones to Keep on Rocking .???

You don't and can't join them. That defeats the whole purpose of the plug-n-use design of the database system.

The database concept is explained in pretty simple detail within the first couple pages of the User Guide.

Ohh I seeee... Do you have any Simple tool that i can use to Scan for ma BPMs for VDJ.. Using da Nornal Scan Slows down ma System at times

Sounds like you need to upgrade ;-)

You just need to scan what has no BPM numbers in the field...

A Quick lesson,

1. Put an Asterisk on the browser search field.
2. Click the BPM Tab to sort that field.
3. Scroll to where there aren't any numbers in the field.
4. Highlight all with no number in the field.
5. Right click and choose "Scan For BPMs"
6. This scans only what hasn't been scaned.

If you want to scan only what was recently imported,

1. Click and sort "First Sceen" Tab in the Browser.
2. Make sure the most recent files are on top.
3. Highlight those you need.
4. Right click and choose "Scan For BPMs"
5. This only scans what is needed.

Good Luck,

Joey....

WooooooW.. he Explained It Alll For me .. Thankx a Lot DJ JoeyKJ ... It Worked For me... Anyways what does those Asterisk Means .

Means "Everything in the Database" even the files that don't play....

Good Luck,

Joey...
