So I have my VMS4, Macbook with VDJ 7 Pro, Stanton Str8-60 turntables, and Serato Scratch live control vinyl and I'm not receiving a timecode signal! All my connections are correct, all my settings are correct, and I'm doing everything I should so I have no idea why it's not working. I get into timecode configure and when I start my turntable, I don't get a circle or a signal showing up in the software. I'm getting the ringing noise but not any signal in VDJ from either of my decks. I've tried looking for answers, changing settings, and everything I could think of but nothing has helped. I was questioning if I got the wrong control vinyl but I'm pretty sure I got the right one, a pic of that is below. A fast response would be really appreciated! Thanks!
Also there is something about selecting the noise map feature because I'm using Serato but there wasn't anywhere to select that in config.

have u switched button in phono mode?

Yeah I did but for some reason in the software in config it has the option of Both, Line 1, or Line 2. I'm not sure I'd that means something.

Anyone? I really would really like to get this sorted out as soon as possible. It's real bummer that it's not working because I bought VDJ Pro so I could use the timecode with my VMS4 and now I can't even get any advice on how to fix this.

Here's my thread, maybe it can shed some light on the subject, http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/146709/General_Discussion/Perfect_Timecodes__.html?page=1
Hope it helps

Yeah, I checked your thread out already, nice job by the way. The thing is, I'm using the Second Edition Rane Serato Scratch Live Control Vinyl but I'm not getting a signal AT ALL. Like I'm not getting a circle or anything. I have no idea what to do now...

Can you post a picture of your timecode screen with a signal being ran through it?

Yeah. The picture here shows the signal picking up on my VMS4 just fine. I can move the platter, move the crossfader, and move the volume faders and it will show on my volume bars the signal going up and down as it should. Then on the computer you can see there is no signal there at all in VDJ.

In this picture you can see clearly that there is no signal in Virtual DJ but when the picture was taken the VMS4 was receiving the signal with no problem whatsoever.

Then in this one you can see where my RCAs are plugged in. The two on the very left are the master out and the booth out so ignore those. Then on both sides of the grounds you have where the RCA from the turntables are. Then you can't see it by the picture but the switch is on phono.

No one knows anything? It's really frustrating how my setup is just sitting there for days because I can't get any support or advice on something that I have no clue on how to fix.

Sorry bro I shipped mine back cause I had the same problem, well I could only get 1 side (the right side) to get a good signal. The left side would never work. I tried to make it work for a month and nothing, so it went back to the store.
Sorry I couldnt be more help

Take a look at the settings you need to have here.. http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/djdad/blogs/4316/VMS4_Setup_Guide.html (VMS4 + Timecodes part), just in case you forgot something.

Seriously? That really sucks considering I just bought VDJ to use timecode with my VMS4 and now it's not even working and may not work forever...

Problem Resolved! Chat Support was really helpful! I'm glad Virtual DJ lives up to their reputation in support, if not passing it!

This is happening again! I start up my laptop plug everything in like I always do but now it's doing it again. I have no timecode signal. I can switch it to analog and get the timecode noise but not any signal. I wish I remembered what the solution was to the first time it happened but I don't. This time I'm on Windows. I also tried using it on the mac and it works on there but just with significant lag which is the whole reason I use Windows. It's pretty urgent because I have a gig tomorrow! Help!
