Hey DJs,

I have a Numark DMC2 that I use as my primary controller.

Im looking to add another controller to control the effects in VDJ.
Any recommendation?

Is say a Korg NanoKontrol. Plenty of knobs, buttons and sliders.

You think theres a way to rack mount it?
 
in terms of having a controler just for effects, I'd say the novation nocturn is the best suited...



pro's

  • 8 mapable endless encoders
  • 1 endless encoder that will change anything you are pointing at with the mouse
  • encoders have led position feedback
  • encoders are touch sensitive so you could map it to turn on an effect when touched
  • has a horizontal (crossfader) slider
  • 8 mapable led feedback buttons
  • 8 buttons for changing the midi values the controller sends

cons

  • you need to run the novation automap software in the background
  • no one has mapped it to vdj yet, so you will have to

this is the size relative to that guys hand
