Hi there,
First post, searched for this and found more reports of the issue than the actual solution...
I'm considering purchasing the full version of Virtual DJ. I have a Vestax Spin and I run a Mac with Lion OS. I wanted to understand
1. How easy it is to map the Vestax Spin to get most of the functionality of the Spin to work with the software
2. If someone can give me the proper help in setting up an "aggregate device" so I can use the headphone to do pre-cueing, which I have not been able to get working on the free/Home edition, even though I have setup an aggregate device (but the Home edition isn't seeing that in the Preferences)
Thanks for the pre-sales help!

You already appear to have the full version of VirtualDJ Pro!
The Spin is natively supported by VirtualDJ Pro.
However, due to the fact that it was only intended for use with its bundled DJ software, it may be detected as a Typhoon instead of Spin in some cases. This shouldn't be a problem because the layout is nearly the same, except for a few buttons. You can easily change these via CONFIG -> Mappers if you wish.
To use the sound card on Mac, all you should need to do is configure it for 4 channel audio, then choose the following in CONFIG -> Sound Setup:
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: 4 out card -> Choose the Spin in the drop-down list.
Click Apply.

Yeah I went ahead and made the jump :-)
So...your post below...with my questions...

I went into Config > Mappers and don't see anything that allows me to change to the Spin. You are correct, it defaulted to the Typhoon. When I choose the dropdown, the only other choice I get is "keyboard."

Ok, I did that, but in "Outputs" I have 3 choices:
Master: Chan 1 & 2 / Headphones Chan 3 & 4 (that's what I have selected)
Master: Chan 3 & 4 / Headphones Chan 1 & 2
Master: Front Output / Headphones: Center Output
So right now, on my Spin, I can't hear ANY audio out of my main speakers, and I can ONLY hear the headphones if I hit the "headphones" button on the Spin. Basically, now I can ONLY monitor via headphones with no live output...
But, that's closer than I was 10 minutes ago...
Please help and thank you!

Can someone advise me based on my post above? I can't get output from my speakers, or, if I do, then I can't pre-cue.

You will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to use MIDI controllers such as the Numark OmniControl: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
You can also try it out for 10 minutes at a time before purchasing in Home FREE: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
