nice one, glad to know you are on board cause the midi fighter is dead in the water, I'll make it the the same layout as the djtt one only better LOL that way you could get the cover when its released, I'll download the new version to get the mapper at start looking into it.

I would like to know why Vestax controllers aren't rackmount?

Seems bloody weird to me.
 
It's very strange because the vci 400 is pretty much exactly 19 inches wide!!

I just got the magma vci case with laptop shelf and that seems pretty good so far...
 
whats up guys? I just got my unit a few days ago, is there a way to open ,close,folders and go between folders and content
on the unit itself? Cant seem to figure it out,thanks. [default mapping]
 
hi, yes, it's actually quite clever, but there is a little bug in there... it's all on the browse knob.

Start by clicking with your mouse on a folder (that avoids the little bug of the selected folder not showing up as selected), then you can scroll up and down your list of folders, press the knob to expand the folders and you can see what's inside them.

To browse the files inside the folder, press in the knob and then turn it one click to the right, that will transfer the focus to the file window so now you can scroll up and down the list of songs and press load when you've found the one you want. At this point pressing the knob in will put you in full screen library mode.

To go back to the list of folders you press and turn one click to the left. If you you press and turn to the right then the focus move to the playlist area so you can scroll any tunes in there.

Just tried to do this and i get no response from the browse knob when pushed.
I can turn the knob and it scrolls but thats all
 
Looks good but i like my mixers on a slant

That's strange, because I definitely didn't map it myself! Try downloading virtual dj again and make sure you have the latest vestax firmware installed too. Even though the virtual dj version number hasn't changed, they have added updated controller definitions to it, so perhaps you have an older one?

I think in may be the unit that is faulty.
I say this because the 4 smaller buttons above the browser knob have no response either
Even in the key learn mapping mode i get no response when push the buttons or knob.
[push any of those buttons or push the browser knob in key learn and i get no action deff.]
I updated the firmware ,that was the first thing i did, updated my vdj aswell
I get a response from EVERY other button/knob .
 
 

How are you guys getting on with the soundcard quality and latency? I'm still unable to use the ASIO drivers for the MC-6000 which is my biggest issue with the unit.

I had the same problem, because Vestax changed a few things, so VDJs intern mapping doesn't work properly.
The mapping solved / fixed this problem. See the hint on off. Vestax-HP:

@ music ,yes i installed the mapper and the mac firmware up date.
I got everything to work with the vdj le [thanks to vestax support] but still no response in vdj pro
Any thoughts?
 
Hi JD, seems to be this gonna be a long night ;o)

I think you got 2 Versions on the same computer (VDJ LE VCI400 & VDJ pro), right?
There was (under win 7) a prob if you have 2 versions on the same computer, but could not find out in the moment;
guess it was on the german forum...

Sorry to say, but I got a Mac-book and run win 7 on it (bootcamp), because lot of effects are just for win..

If I found something, I'll be back ;o)
