Topic: Stupid Question of the day

Hi People

my name is Mick, i am 48 years old and i am completely new to this as my missus has just bought me the 'ION Discover DJ Pro' for Xmas. I am a bit of a music fan (mainly soul and jazz from the 70's and 80's but i like allsorts) and i have been listening to stuff since i was a young teenager. I live in Essex in the UK and i work as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
I have a question which i apologise for if it is completely stupid. I have loaded the virtual DJ LE software onto my PC Ok, but when i am prompted to insert my serial number the only serial number on the unit is not accepted. There is no other number on the unit (or the box) so i am sure i am entering the correct number. Can anyone tell me where i am going wrong?

I had a piece of card stock in my controller box when I got it. The CARD had the VDJ Serial Number on it. That is what u are

needing, I believe.....You were mistaken by entering the Product's serial number instead (the actual controller's serial)....Let us

You need the number that is on the VDJ software CD cover that came with the controller.

DISREGARD = I FOUND IT!

I'm having the exact same issue with the Serial Number. I purchased a Gemini CTRL SIX for my son as a Christmas present. We ordered from Guitar Center and purchased it brand new. It came with the DJLE software, which after installed, requests a serial number.

I have input every number I can find and everyone of them is rejected as invalid.

The CD has a number on it, with a bar-code. That number is 13 digits and is what I suspect is the serial number. However, it is rejected as invalid. I am so frustrated as this is really goofy.

From what I can tell, this isn't a unique problem to me, but something many people have experienced.

Any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

i did find the serial number on the CD sleeve but you only have to put in the first 13 digits. ie ****-****-*****

you do not have to enter the /**** at the end.

hope this helps anyone else who may have the same problem.

No, that is not possible.

DO NOT ask other users to share serial numbers as this will result in their account being suspended.
