having a play around, It's not dmc quality and the video is off my phone but does show that vdj is more than capable at scratchng with timecodes and a midi controller...

That was nice! I've heard some DJs trying to scratch on the radio and their scratching is no where near this.

Really nice Syn!!...Great job.....liked it....

Nice job!!! I hate myself for selling my SL1200 in a moment of mental confusion...

Nice Andrew, Great demo... Bro... i've just missed those old days scratching...

Who is this guy? He sucks!!!!! Nah, just joking brother you sound good bro!

You starting to really go hammer around 2:20ish 1+

What's the controller you're using?

thanks for the kind words lads! :-D

@ phatcat... it's a reloop digital jockey 2, It has a great crossfader in it

Vdj can definately handle some scratching. But I find that it doesn't track well when reversing the record... Doesn't seem to go to the spot in the song where I thought it would go when reversing. That's one area I hope vdj can improve upon.

well blow me down!..."syn" thats a "sin"...he,he so do u download the samples? or record and save as mp3 say actual battle records? cause I'm thinking of archiving my vinyl that way...but I must have a few hundred battle scratch pieces as I had "bought out" 2 guys collection plus what i had collected before..good scratchin BTW!

Thanks Tracker! I did it illegally I found a couple of scratch sample mp3's on the interweb for the scream and fresh etc... the samples at the start of simon says and terrorist are acapellas, and I managed to buy the frontier psychiatry comedy sketch on vinyl a few years ago after hearing dj dexter's track on the avalanches album, I just ripped the samples from it, but all I did was record everything into the sampler, then record the samples into an mp3 about 10 minutes before I recorded the video.

I have since done it properly in a daw so the samples dont hit randomly. the instro is just Simon Says. I still need to learn how to beat juggle properly though and some scratch techniques other then 1 and 2 click flares... but it's fun messing about

thats the way I would had done it!...good job!
