Topic: Wedding reception Gig Help

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hello,

I mostly done House Parties and a few public gigs at retail stores. I never really done a wedding reception. THe doubt that I have is the set up that I have. I have small setup enough for the small venues that I do. My setup it, 2x Behringer 212A for the tops, 2x Gemini GVXSUB15P with the dbx Powered Speaker optimizer. It's not the most high end of sound, but it's done pretty well for the gigs I've done and the sound is great so far as far as peoples reactions and opinions go. I just never tested it out in a Hall environment. The couple that's getting married told me that it's not really a big hall and it's gonna be like 60-80 people. SO my ?? will my setup be enough for a Setting like that?? or Should I just turn this gig down because my setup may not be able to give out enough sound??? I have the tops set up on poles attatched to the Subs. I don't use tripods anymore, Any advice that you all can provide would be very much appreciated, thanks alot fellow Djay's

go for it.

Ya bro go for it I have done a few with my setup which is weak. I got technical pro speakers with a pyle amp. Total cost was $350 and its worked out fine. Just don't accept a large hall. I have done gyms in churches with my set and it worked fine. Not the quality I want but it worked and they were happy.

I will go for it, in that case, THanks, I appreciate it..

Gentlemen ?? well done....

you should encourage him and you did ....

your clients expect U to know the music and the situation .......

plus ..... how much power / volume is enough ???? that depends on the size of the venue indoors or out

and u are responsible ... because ..... YOU agreed to be the guy/gal cool , fun, loud enough DJ ..........

if you are worried you have a powerful enough system or not go to the site and see how big it is , read on the topic ,

ask them about there in house system .....,

borrow from friends additional equipment that can be possibly added to yours

can you lease extra power ??

go for it unless you research it and it's definitely too big
