Ok. I was saddened that no one has made this information readily available, or maybe I'm the only one trying to make the LED rings on the knobs works. Anyway, add these to your device.xml:

<led value="1" cc="0x18" name="LED_Device_Control_1_a" />
<led value="2" cc="0x18" name="LED_Device_Control_1_b" />
<led value="3" cc="0x18" name="LED_Device_Control_1_c" />

Then in your map, create three new maps for the above names, and type in "on" or "off" for any of these. Your LEDs will light up and you can then rotate them at will. You can go to town and make variations of these, but this was one method that works. If you "shift" and have the knobs work for other uses, you can turn off one led ring type, and turn on a different ring type (single, volume style, pan style).

Enjoy. Don't worry about donations, I'm rich :(

BTW, I have to thank C.Hackl's Controller Definer.exe program. I took me two hours to figure out the messaging format, but it helped me figure this out.
