My setup includes 2 Denon S3700's and a Denon X1600 Mixer. I've been using VDJ for years without any problems. Recently, I've been experience audio dropouts while looping tracks. This is usually brought on by 8 bar loops; however, it occasionally drops during 4 bar loops as well.
Audio drop outs happen briefly, for a couple of seconds and then it kicks back in. Happens on audio and video tracks. Any tips/ideas/suggestions on how to fix this? I haven't changed any preferences.. I did add a couple of plugins a few months ago.

Yes, I'm experiencing the same thing.
My setup: Stanton scs1d (2x) and one Stanton scs1m (asio, firewire).
Os: WinXP pro (32bit)
VDJ: 7.0.5b
The dropout occurs for no reason after some time (there does not seem to be a pattern here).
Audio dropouts only occur on the looping deck and only for the duration of the length of a loop (1 bar, 2bars, etc.).
After the dropout the audio comes back, but after some time dropouts may occur again.
Wish I could test an older version, but my hardware is only (native) supported by the latest (7.0.5b).
Looks like this guy is also having the same issue:

I wonder what we all have in common that makes the software behave like that.

I think I've figured it out! This works for me in my setup, but it basically comes down to this:
If using ASIO make sure your soundcard driver is set to 48k!
Since there is no other way (for me) than to use ASIO, I've checked the Stanton SCS1m driver settings:
Turns out that daRouter uses 44.1k by default. I changed this explicitly to 48k.
I haven't had any loop dropouts since I changed this (haven't tested it well enough, but so far so good).
But here is the catch (for my setup): as soon as VirtualDJ quits, this setting resets itself to 44.1k.
So everytime I start to use VirtualDJ I need to manually set the Stanton driver in daRouter to 48k first.

My previous statement about changing the samplerate and it magically works, turned out to be wrong. After some time the dropouts occured again. Which was very frustrating, so I took the time and went over the settings step by step.
I found a solution to my dropouts using the following procedure:
- backup the current mappings/skins (if you happen to have any custom ones)
- reset vdj to factory defaults
- (important!) make sure that on the Mapper tab NO checkboxes are checked in the options section (so no "Use keyboard, Use HID" etc.)
- restart pc (just in case, and make sure above still hold)
- in soundsetup, select your output setup (mine was advanced config, asio outputs)
- test the soundcard for dropouts using your mouse on the skin (selecting loops, playing with pitch) and make sure audio is working fine
- after being sure audio is working fine, select the "Use keyboard, use HID" or whatever is applicable to your setup on the Mappers tab
- restore any mappings/skins
I'm not quite sure why this procedure works, but the order in detecting a new soundcard and adding new controllers apparently matters.
This might not help you with your dropouts, but I guess it is worth a try...

Has this worked long term for you?
