Apologies if this sort of thing is answered elsewhere but I have a question.
For about a year I have been using the Hercules DJ Control Steel which has served me pretty well. I have practiced a lot and feel ready to start trying to play in venues in the next year.
The problem with the Steel is that it has no headphone jack so isn't really suitable for that sort of environment. I am now looking for new hardware so that I can play in such venues.
The main one i've looked at has been the Traktor S4 - I have seen it advertised for around £750 pounds and that is the very upper limit of my spending on this.
Are there any alternative controllers that are good enough for playing in venues but perhaps are a bit cheaper than that?

If I were you, I'd wait until Musikmesse 21st-24th of March to see if there's any announcements of new kit...
