Has anyone set up the midi clock and timeing to run a rewire into ableton so that I can mix the launch pad or other controler in sync with virtual dj and i looked throught the book and the site to see how to set the timeing and adjust the milliseconds? as I didnt see it anywhere and if there is then I missed it...

you can just set up rewire in advanced config where you select the in's and out's, if you do a google search there is a couple of examples with screenshots of how to set it up, but it's pretty easy... although I'm not sure I ever got a midi controller to work in ableton, but I think the process is open ableton and connect the launchpad, then open vdj and connect your controller after it's open (otherwise ableton will use it), rescan for new devices if required.

Rewire configuration is documented in the manual installed alongside VDJ.
Page 18 of the Setup Audio guide.
Passthrough MIDI I believe is possible but requires some configuration. I'd have to look into that.

its the ability to pass throught the midi so that I can co link it.. I read the entire book , yes. most of the ideas are based on buttons and features. On the fly stuff as I cant stop djing to reset the song or delete something and the entire page resets.. The midi timeing with the ability to hear it would be sick as that way I can adjust the midi signatures to mili seconds to match so that way rewire works proper as so far its wonkey at best if even on time.

ok I re red rewire again.. Sorry and respect to the instructions as they have been updated since I last looked at it... the Question is !!! Is there a way to rewire with out running it throught a six deck or is there a way to make it a hidden thing as I want to use the apc 40 to do all the controling as I have seprate stuff running. why isnt there a premade tool to set it up. As I read the massive book for the idea it needs to be exact as im not going to use it unless its flawless..

I don't think you will be able to use just the APC40 to control both VDJ and the ReWire slave.
One controller, two programmes = confusion.
As for accuracy, the sync is never going to be 100% spot on (not with the current VDJ anyway) because it is dependent on the beat grid, which is not as adjustable as (e.g) warping in Ableton Live.
Also, there is (or was) an issue with controllers not being available to the slave software, as VDJ grabbed all connected controllers. I think there was a workaround registry tweak for this at one point, but I'm not sure if it ever got properly fixed.

apc is sick , I hooked to mixer..i ran a set and will be loading it to youtube as unreal as it was .. Now with the issue in virt, the issue is the ctrl +V and sett up in rewire makes the screens go crazy and strobes , it locked out the apc40 and shut down virtual dj. Im willing to try anything as I have new controlers comming soon as I have a new company giving me free stuff to learn and demo and sell...
