Hey guys,

I was looking at the DJ2GO, and i was wondering if anyone here was using it?

Id like to get some feedback about it. How do you like etc..

I'm thinking of getting one for home use and gig backup if i ever need it.

Thanks

I don't have one, but it seems to me too be lacking too many essential features to be really useful.. I got an Icon iDJ instead, it's fully featured with mixer and touch sensitive jogs made with reasonable quality components, the only thing it is missing is led feedback from the software although the 2go only has 8 leds to utilize.

here is my mapping for it which has been uploaded, but not yet released by atomix

Thats another small great looking controller.

I have one that I use as a back up to my Denon MC6000. I throw it into my laptop bag along with a Numark DJ/IO. It will get you by in a pinch and because it's so small, you could easily use it at home.

I feel it's worth the $50 I paid for it.

Thanks Good to know.

I'm still debating to buy it or get something with a bit more features.

Mapping it the way I want it could provide me with some great features too.

Where did you buy your Icon iDJ? I dont think they are available in Canada though. Would you have a website?

i got it from juno in the uk.. www.juno.co.uk.. when they were first released, but I had a look and they don't appear to be in stock

then I checked the canadian ebay and the only place that had it was in germany, price was around $170C, it''s not worth that much...

this is from Aussie eBay, you could ask to post to canada

In the end though you are probably better off getting a Hercules mp3 e2, it's a small footprint with all the controls you need.

Well, its just for backup. I see that juno really did have a great price for: £46.66 which is around 76$ CAD.

Hopefully I'll find something. Its just a controller that i need. No Mixer needed, since its simply to control the pitch + control Deck 3 & 4.

If i cant find it anywhere i might just grab a DJ2GO tonight and give it a shot. Simply liked the fact that the idj had more fader, buttons and knobs.

I'll throw in my 2 cents worth as well. I bought it to use with my Toshiba Netbook backup computer. It works just fine with an M-Audio Fast Track Pro. It was easy to install, easy to use and worth the money.

A couple tips. Save the plastic cover from the package to help protect it when transporting. Futureshop wants $79.99 for it, but I got mine for $59.00 at Long and McQuade.

Cheers..... DGee

$US 44.00 DJ2GO in Amazon.com

Hi,

Finally went for it.

Got mine at Futureshop for 59$.

I had read earlier about not breaking the cover, so I also made sure not to break it and i did cut it just the way I needed it :)

It is a nice piece of hardward for the price. Once ill have it mapped just the way i need it + some shifts button, I'll be able to do about anything with it :)

Hey, I also have one as a backup to my rmx setup. I think it's very well worth the price. It has all the basic functions for straight mixing, great for backup or anyone just starting out to DJ without looping and effects controls. Whoever is thinking about it, I SAY GO GET IT....

DITTO! This is how I use mine and also use it as a backup. It works great with my HP Netbook.

@DJ Rhythm:

Here is how I had mine set up (going off memory so I may be a bit off)...

VDJ SOUND CONFIG
Outputs : Headphones (Master Chan 1&2/Headphones: Chan 3&4)

On the back of the FTP had RCA's 1&2 going into a channel on the dj mixer at the club.

For cueing had the headphones plugged directly into the front of the FTP and used the A/B button to the left of the Level knob to switch back and forth between the VDJ decks.

Try that and report back here your results.

Hey Dj Rhythm,

I just checked my settings on the system for connection via the Fast Track Pro and here is what I have:

Fast Track Pro Control Panel:

Outputs 1&2
Outputs 3&4
Balanced Input 1

Sample Depth 16

Latency 512

VDJ Settings:

Inputs None
Outputs Headphone and Speakers
Master Channels 1&2 Headphones 3&4
ASIO Driver M-Audio USB ASIO

The A/B button is pressed in.

Hope this might be of some help.
