Whats up everyone. I got home from work yesterday and decided to go mix a little downstairs. Well when I powered my equipment everything seemed fine. I cut up my volume and realized one of my subwoofers was not working. I have two Mackie SRM1801's. The sub comes on and it shows that it has a signal and even shows when its peaking. Never do I let the subwoofers peak. It just won't output sound at all. But like I said, It shows that it has signal and that its powered on, etc. Can someone please help me with this problem? Im getting really frustrated with it.

Hi mate.
Sounds like you might have a loose or brocken wire to the bass driver (speaker) or pos an open circuit driver :-( If you are not the technical type or your sub is still under waranty it might be time to take it to your dealer for repair.
Cheers

Wow you guys arent going to believe this. As I said in my top post, I have two of these subwoofers. I just dj'ed another party this past weekend and damn if the other one didnt go out. These things are not reliable at all.

Oh no, real shame about that. That's not good news at all. Did you find out what went wrong with the first one??
If it's time to replace them with something more reliable, I've got the JBL prx618-xlf and lots of people really like the QSC KW181 sub.
Hope you get it sorted!

Opened up both speakers, Im starting to think its something with the board. It only comes on when i kick in high volume. and still when i do that i only get one bass hit out of it and it cuts again. I know its not my mixer. Switched to another mixer just to make sure. Im thinking its time for an upgrade. Even though they sound VERYY good, I would rather have something i can depend on. Called mackie. and one has a warranty and one doesnt. Guess ill get the one survived, as for the other idk.
