Hey guys, I have been djing with a numark midi controller for a while now, but I recently went out and bought some vinyl turntables. I am completely new to turntables and just need some clarification!
When i first heard about timecoding I was amazed, and thats what actually initiated my purchase. I soon discovered that they are VERY expensive systems!!
1. Firstly I found a system callled "Intimidation Iscratch" which is only bout 60 pounds, however I have seen that people are having problems using it wth virtual dj, has this been resolved yet??
2. Secondly my understanding is that you obviously have a timecode vinyl, which are about 30 pounds. And then you have an interface box which is basically a soundcard which goes to the computer. Then the computer knows where the vinyl is because it is constantly playing a tone.
So my question is could I just buy a timecode vinyl, and then something like this:

Instead of buying a whole kit which is over 200 pounds!!? And use it with virtual DJ ?
Thanks in advance Aseem Mishra

Please see our FAQ pages:
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/What%20is%20timecode.html
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Timecode%20Requirements.html
The sound card you posted above is not suitable because it doesn't have enough inputs and outputs (Unless you will only using 1 timecode deck.)
You will also need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use timecode: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - If your Numark MIDI controller came with VirtualDJ LE then you can upgrade at a discount.
