Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

hey guys im trying to load virtual dj for my school computer lab and we have run into a problem
when another kid logs in under windows 7 enterprise they can not see the shortcut and when i copy it to the default profile and the virtual dj folder into their documents folder the program gets stuck on saying its missing a skin

this is the first time i have come accross anything like this
why cant you use this software logged on as another user?
can anyone help ?

we have done most of the recommended hacks on registry and setting virtual dj document paths etc but now stuck on the skin erros saying it cant find the skin

and no its not corrupt and it is in the right folder there is something missing in the registry....

verry annoying as our kids would love to use it however we can not...

how frustrating!!

help me please

VirtualDj NEEDS and USES local users resources on the PC.

The registry settings are on HKEY_CURRENT_USER and the "Home" path of all important files (like skins and others) is User's Documents\VirtualDj (E.g: C:\Users\TypicalUserName\Documents\VirtualDj)

You can change the "Home" path to another one (E.g: C:\Temp\VirtualDj), but I don't know if you can "hack" the registry. VDJ will always look for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key.

Good luck!

Sounds lke you only use VDJ per logon/machine (like only one pc at a time). If so, why not just create a VDJ user and when ANY KID wants to use the program and login to ANY PC, tell them to use Account VDJ.

I think you're getting the SKIN error due to (MAYBE) VDJ is already open somewhere (just guessing).

Why not just install VDJ (HOME) on each machine (it's FREE).... You can even tell students to install it at home and practice.

If the SERVER is down, you can still use VDJ
