Topic: Virtual DJ Pro - Deck2 is mono

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Virtual DJ 7.0.5 is installed on a PC dual core.
A Matrox Millennium 550 PCI dual video card is installed. I use also the on board video for displaying full screen video. This works fine.

Sound: I use the onboard Soundcard (set as primary) and plugged in the Behringer UCA222 USB Audio interface.
Playing a videoclip in stereo in Windows Mediaplayer works fine. I can hear through the headphone on my mixing table the very nice stereosound. Even on both sound devices if a toggle in the Control Pannel the primary sound device.
Now in VDJ 7.0.5.:
The Sound section is configured as follows: Advanced output
Deck1: Primary Sound device: Ch1&Ch2 (goes to the stereo Ch1 of the mixing table with a stereo RCA cable)
Deck2: Behringer UCA222: Ch3&Ch4 (goes to the stereo Ch2 of the mixing table with a stereo RCA cable)
If I drop "New Order's Blue Monday version 88" in MPEG2 ripped from the DVD (mastered in stereosound) in Deck1: The stereosound is detected in the mixing table.
But if I drop the same track in Deck2: I hear a mono sound in the mixing table.
Nothing wrong with the RCA cables or the mixing table. In the Behringer device, there is a headphone connection and I hear mono too.

In Control Panel - Sound: If I set the Behringer as primary and the onboard as secundary: The problem stays in the red colored Deck2
Even when I thick on "Mono channels" where I see that Ch1=L, Ch2=R, Ch3=L, Ch4=R: same problem.
Deck2 won't play in stereo. I can see on the screen that the red VU meter detects stereo because the peaks are not identical.

Other stereo mastered videoclips won't play in stereo in deck2.
Off course there is no problem with The Supremes - You can't hurry love. That clip is mastered in mono.
I didn't change settings, I don't think you can force channel 2 to play in mono.
is this a bug?

As you did not post any information about the used version everything is speculation.

So please update to the latest version to be shure it is not a known problem with your version.

It's 7.0.5

Work around:
Deck2 becomes stereo if I route to Ch5&Ch6

Final setup:
Deck1: Primary Sound device: Ch1&Ch2 (goes to the stereo Ch1 of the mixing table with a stereo RCA cable)
Deck2: Behringer UCA222: Ch5&Ch6 (goes to the stereo Ch2 of the mixing table with a stereo RCA cable)
