Hi all,
I'm using an NS6 with a Macbook Pro and the 4 deck VDJ skin.
I've been using deck 1 and deck 2 for mixing and have been trying to throw in some samples on deck 3 or deck 4.
So my problem is, say a song is playing on deck 2 and I press the deck change button on the NS6 to change from deck 1 to deck 3 and load the sample on deck 3, bring the cross fader over and mix in the sample, all works as it should. But when I press the deck change button again to change from deck 3 back to deck 1 so I can mix in deck 1- it appears ok but when I press play for deck 1 deck 3 plays and if I switch it back to deck 3 and press play deck 1 plays. If I do it on deck 2 or deck 4 the same thing happens.
So it seems it reverses the decks once I've changed and played something on deck 3 or 4.
The other problem is, is that it only seems to do it sometimes. If I close down VDJ and the NS6 and start again it seems ok. Weird I know.
Could it maybe be that I normally have deck 4 assigned to the microphone and then when I want to use it for a sample and switch deck 4 back to PC mode??? (I've tried it a couple of times and can't get it to do it though, just seems to happen randomly)
I hope that makes sense and someone can shed some light on it for me.

Are you using the 4 deck skin 3-1-2-4?
If not you need to download and install that skin. I use the same setup and have no problems using this skin.

Hi pskeens, You're a legend. I didn't even think to check that.
I downloaded it and it seems that has fixed that problem.
I've just been playing around with it tonight. I was trying all 4 decks, and some of the effects and just mucking around with the NS6 and all it's features and all of a sudden VDJ closed down and an error message popped up saying VDJ closed unexpectantly. Then the MAC asked if I wanted to send an error report to apple etc .
I restarted the NS6 and VDJ and basically tried everything I just did again to try and make it happen again but no luck. Mmm, hope it doesn't happen at a gig.
Any ideas on this???

If you are running Lion there are some issues with any vst plugin effects. It's best to remove them. I had this problem and I think it that solved my problem.

Hi, yeah it's running Lion. I'll check tonight when I get home and see if there's any VST effects.
From memory it crashed when I tried out the reverb effect, it just made a weird stuttering noise then VDJ closed down. Maybe I'll definately delete that one...
Silly question, but does it tell you if they are VST effects?
