I did, once.

I play alot of Genres and i would find it very hard to prepare my sets on a Phone. When i practice at home, I have to play two songs at the same time repeatedly just to pick the right time when i should start playing a song. I want to make sure they sound right when i am mixing live on front of a crowd.

Forget the Pioneer blurb and read was Chris has said... it's an alternative to the MC-6000/3000 VMS2/4, etc when combined with VDJ with 24bit audio and HID. It's user preference if you want to use all the RekordBox and wireless Gizmos...

That said, the price is about 150GBP higher than the MC-6000 for a pioneer controller. Is it really that outrageous?

Haven't read the specs yet, but the one thing that lets the Denon down is the 2 channel audio which means you need an external standard for timecode. Does this controller overcome that limitation?

Cheers,

Roy

Mine was delivered at the weekend.

Definitely not toy quality. Feels more solid than most other controllers, more cdj quality. The jogwheels are better than CDJs imho

You wouldn't prepare your playlist on your phone, but use Rekordbox on your computer and load to a usb stick or external hd.

Then you can either browse through your playlists, genres, artists, etf on the aero by turning a knob, select a first letter to focus down, and load. If you want to use a phone, you can use it to search for a track on the usb stick or ext hd and then tap the app and it loads immediately.

If you don't want to do it that way, that's fine. If you have a computer with you use rekordbox on it and load from there through wireless. Its instantaneous, so you don't have to plug in the usb. You can use it with usb connection to computer if you want.

Haven't tried it with VDJ yet but am planning to do that soon and will report back here when I have done.
The sync and auto play features actually work, but a bit like vdj, if you don't want to do that, just use the pitch control as usual.

Only drawback I have found is no hot cues, but these will probably follow inb the next firmware release.

The jog wheels are better than on the CDJ2000??? and may I add !!!

The jog is like the NS6. Its alittle loose and feels great when you have your hands on it.

Yeah, I have never been quite happy with the cdj 2000 jog wheels compared to the cdj 1000 Mk* There have been a number of people thinking the same as me who posted on the Pioneer forums.

Am hoping that I can use with VDJ soon.

have found somebody mapper for xdj-aero?

We are still working out some minor issues with Pioneer.

If we resolve them before the next release, then we will make them available for download.

When is next release? Most needed!

When will be the updated software for XDJ available? I have a console XDJ for which isn´t maping in these days and I would hate to turn to another software.

Dude look up 2 post from yours and you can clearly read that some things are still being worked out with pioneer....... threatening to turn to another software really doesn't bother anyone. So if you can't wait till it's done, peace but like most you'll return when it's ready.....

i love virtual. i hate to buy another softer. and more than that i buy a new console. whats really wrong i buy from the best brand on market: pioneer and virtual(the software that i love(after mac os)) don't do anything. no update from one ear. :(

As it was stated above ...

There are still some issues being worked on with Pioneer.

The XDJ-AERO is first a stand-alone media system. It does have the ability to work with MIDI and HID capable software like VirtualDJ.

Once we are cleared by Pioneer to publicly release the supporting files then we will make them available and post the notice to the forums.

tkx. i hope s gonna be up soon!

still nothing?

Mapping? Thank you for your answer.

The Aero is supported in VDJ 7.2
