Picked up an iDJ Pro at the AC EXPO last week. It was supposed to arrive last Friday, but showed up on Monday. I purchased this a backup unit. I was using my iPad 3 for outside wedding ceremonies and separate room cocktail hour, usin Djay from Algoriddim.
Didnt want to post until I had time to play with it for a couple of days, but its a sweet little unit, tho Djay is a little behind. Because I purchased it earlier than when the stores are selling it, the current release version is not what you see on the videos on you tube right now. It works great, but its missing a couple of things all of which are not huge, just features your used to having. the features are there when not plugged into the numark unit which made it a bit frustrating and Algoriddim took four days to respond to my questions, but they did answer them.
missing features in portrait mode and plugged into the iDJ Pro are: the instant efx (absorb, sway, punch, etc). The tape marker. the automix feature which also contains a que list which is basically my waitlist, so this hurts not having this. Algoriddim said today that an update for the app is coming shortly and all those issues have been fixed.
I have a wedding tonight and tmrw night and will be using it right next to my Denon MC 6000 and VDJ - just in case!
In my 21 years doing this, other than 1200's - I have never used anything but Denon, I felt guilty as hell as one of my buds is a rep/demo guy for them. I got a show price of $440 because we bought two, but it will retail at $499 also picked up the bag for $120 - I think they took off $10 because we bought two.
The unit itself is light, made of aluminum. Jogs are nice size and feel good. I was getting a ground loop at the house tho which was weird because I plug my main system into the same outlet and never receive noise, so im looking into that today. Output seems really loud but then again im home and not pounding it like I will tonight.
Ill post my thoughts on using this in a live application sometime this weekend. For those of you have gigs tonight or this weekend...kill it!

Well reporting back from my weekend with the iDJ Pro from Numark. First - I did not use it on Saturday as I hoped, last night was a nightmare on its own.
Hooked up the Numark as a running backup on line 2 of my MC 6000. ran great all night tho I didn't use it a whole lot. I am still in the process of loading the ipad with music so I played about 90% off the main system. I set up about 2 hours early that day just so i can play with it through the system, and it's clean and punchy. I did not try out the mic line yet. Like I said in the first post Ive used nothing but Denon, so how the unit works its a bit different and getting used to the controls is just gonna take a gig or two to get used to.
The hum i was receiving at home did not happen at the gig. Scratching was on point for the most part. It's a bit difficult to crab and I can't tell if its the software or a hardware issue. Im leaning towards the software only because there is an off/on switch for that in Djay. Maybe this will be addressed in the nee app update.
What was really cool was it still allowed me to play music through spotify. If you place four fingers on iPad and drag left or right you can switch to another open app. Just be cautious as the volume is a bit louder so make sure you adjust your fader before playing. ill post again once the update comes out or if anyone has any questions, I'll answer what I can.

Hi Folks, Im fairly new to this page so I hope someone may be able to help me. I am a Ballroom/latin DJ and am looking to use the IDJ pro for my profession, I only wish to use this for loading tracks from Song/tune Playlists that I have stored on my computer. I have a 64GB I Pad which has the 30 pin connection but really would like a Bigger GB one but not sure if the 128GB would work and fit into this unit. Also I need to use a Simple Method of loading the tracks from the playlist to play and there are various one's I've seen , but I only require a simple method which will show the BPM's . Your help is greatly appreciated . Thanks.
