i have about 100 vinyl and want to record them and thinking of selling them after i record them... all of them are in top notch condition.
iv seen these turntables, i will get one but if i could use them to mix with time codes i would buy the 2nd deck.
would they work straight of the bat or would i need a sound card and which sound card will b ideal to use.
Panos.

Is it the silver plastic turntable? Or is it dark grey with a blue LED display?
If it's this one
http://www.pssl.com/Numark-TT-USB-Turntable-With-USB
IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
Can NOT Dj with these at ALL.
If it's this one

It's a good turntable. Great for Dj'ing.

I don't know about the turntables, but why would you sell you're vinyls? I think that would be something you'd regret later on...

This is illegal. If you sell the original media, then you are no-longer entitled to keep a recording of it unless you also legitimately own it on another format, such as CD, legal purchased digital download, etc.
USB turntables are also not usually suitable for timecode use and for cheaper decks, they are not designed for or suitable for DJ'ing. The USB interface is usually designed for recording use, not timecode and does not have ASIO drivers. However, if the turntable itself is good enough, then you can use it with a proper dedicated ASIO sound card designed for timecode use.

It's the 1st one city.
I guess same rule applies with cd's when u burn... u must own them. Looks like I'll be keeping them and buy just the one cheap deck to record them.
Thanks all.
But I mite buy the 2nd ones u put up just to have a feel of the time codes

timecodes... which ones work well with VDJ

Well, the virtualDJ timecodes should work well, I can however vouch for Serato vinyls (at least the oldgen, hopefully the newgen works even better)

Hi,
I need help, I have just bought a Vestax Typhoon and installed the program on to my Mac os X.
It will install the LE version successfully however, when it asks for the serial number and I key it in, it pauses for a moment and then say's
"virtualdj_le quit unexpectedly". I have tried restarting my computer, can anyone one help? I really want to get this thing cranked up.

Yeah Traktor A10, gives you a audiointerface that are quite nice, supports 4 decks, A6 supports 2 decks. How ever those traktor timecodes are the "Traktor MK2 Timecodes" (at least it should be if its the A10/A6 package) and at the moment the MK2 timecodes does not work with VDJ. Hopefully they will work in VDJ 7.1 which is just around the corner but they havnt said so.
EDIT: That package isnt that expensive, because you only pay the original price for the audiointerface + the timecodes, the traktor software comes with it for free so no aditional cost there. This package is also quite nice: http://www.hercules.com/uk/DJ-Music/bdd/p/119/deejay-trim-4-6-scratch-starter-kit but this audiointerface does only support up to 2 inputs/outputs (just like the A6 package)
