Topic: Laggy/Choppy video mixes

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have an original macbook air (2008) and the video mixes on it with vdj 7.0.3 lag like crazy. It has a dual core 1.8 ghz intel core 2 duo processor with 2 gb ram and intel x3100 gma graphics card. i'm trying to display the videos on my asus ve278q 27" monitor and it just lags like crazy. I just want to know if i can fix it or whats causing the problem. It can run the videos decently in just a window but once i put it to full screen it just lags. Also, just adding in that i don't have any external devices connected and I'm not running any other programs. Also it uses like 600 mb of ram but it says its using 101 percent of my CPU, even though activity montior clearly shows that I have over a gig of free ram. Thanks, all the replies are greatly appreciated.

If they run fine in the small window but run like crap when maxed, then id say your machine is under powered. I actually think it is under the minimum required specs anyways.

yep i think ur right. just checked and the syste, requirements for video mixing is atleast 256 mb dedicated ram and ati or nvidia graphics card. Mine only has 144 dedicated and its and intel graphics card, damn intel. The only thing that pisses me off is that i have several older power pc macs (2 x power mac g5 2x imac g5 and a powerbook g4) and video mixing with vdj 5 works fine one them.

wow i installed vdj 5 an it works, that says a lot about this software

What does it say??

It says that you re trying to operate an A/C on a bicycle !

it says that they purposely slow it down so you buy the newest thing. Sure my laptop's almost 5 years old but it should atleast be able to play two video at once, which it can.

Not true cause I use a 7 year old Asus and it runs video just fine, the difference is I am above the suggested specs............ core2duo 2.2 ghz, Nvida 8600 with 1 gig of ram and its running Vista no less....

Bro your machine is under powered, its not the softwares fault..............

i understand im under the suggested specs but its just the fact that an older version requires lower specs to do the same thing. That is what confuses me, its the exact same laptop as before, but with an older version it can do what it couldnt previously.
