Hi, just wondering if it is possible to hook up an IP camera. I know we can use a USB webcam but don't know how to set it for an IP camera.
Any ideas- help would be more than welcome.
thanks

I actually found a 65ft usb cable with built in repeaters that works with my usb 2.0 webcam. Not the best solution but it works.

Hi, zman4343 what type of webcam are you using?
Is it good in low light conditions? I mean acceptable quality?
Specs/type of that cable, where did you purchased this?
Thanks for sharing

I have been after something like this and been keeping my eye open for any thread related to using camera.
I have not seen anything that I really want.
I want USB 2.0/3.0 connection that can zoom in into the crowd.
All I'm thinking about doing is to use the regular cameras feed it to the projector via S-video/composite and use the projector remote control to switch display input connection (Im using the HDMI connection connected to PC).
Webcam are good for what it is good for but not for the dance floor.

AMAHM could you tell us how you use this and how VDJ could use it ?
Specially for Laptop users (it does not mention any USB connection).
Thanks

AMAHM thanks for the tip.
Never looked into that direction. I have a cannon camera and composite to USB connection box.
Will test this during the weekend.

The Sony camera connects to the ADS capture device via s-video cable. The capture device connects to my desktop (I don't use laptops), via USB cable (already connected to the capture device). VDJ has a camera plugin and so does Pangolin, and Firetext. In effects, select the plugin, and you have live camera feed.

Thanks AMAHM.
I would get something like that if I don't have buy another hardware to make it work.
That's alot of $$$ for that sony.
Wonder if Sony have a version with PC/USB connection without needing any other hardware to make it work.
If I have to buy a capture card, I rather use the old video Camera via S-video and just push a buttton on the projector remote control INPUT DISPLAY.
Anyone else out there using something ?
