looking to purchase a Numark mixtrack pro (have no experience whatsoever just want to learn n play at home) looks like in the US it no longer comes with Virtual DJ LE (could record) but instead with Serato intro... (cannot record)
I basically just need a simple setup to play-learn but also to record (so I can listen wha I did..) and dont want to upgrade to a pricy software...
do you know if Numark mixtrack pro would work with any paid Virtual DJ version (so say with the broadcast version so I can keep cost down but also to be able to record?)
Thanks!

Yes, the Mixtrack Pro will work with the full Pro version of VDJ. None of the basic versions support controllers (except LE versions supplied with the product).
Why don't you record from the output of the Mixtrack Pro? You can buy a portable audio recorder for much less than VDJ Pro.

yes you can use audacity to record, aswell as many other things its a good program well worth using,
does the mixtrack pro not have a dedicated headphone output then ?

I use the line out on my mixer to the line in on my soundcard, and push the whole lot through Audacity.
Given its FOC, can't grumble...
