Lol,

Well if you wanna go back to stone age, please also disable keylock, looping (unless you find a way to do that with sticky tape on your controller), effects owwhhh best is actually to sell the whole stuff and get some technics SL1200 MkIIs

You can always map it to a more destructive function like stop, unload or maybe close software or even a sampler that says I'm not a sync dj or even map it to <var "$shift" ? var "get_bucket_water" & pour_on_dj>. lol
It's only a tool where the user has always the choice and freedom to use it or no.
 
Yay ...... another sync button thread. Must be at least 10 minutes since the last one!

keylock also disabled and i rarely use looping. true about 1200s, vinyl is the best way to beatmatching like all the stone age djs

No one cares if you use the sync button or not. We don't care if you use the loop function or not. We don't care if you use a rotary phone or pick your nose. No one cares. I need a magazine to go to the john right now, does anyone care? I didn't think so.

I've learned much from this forum, in particular, when to say something, and when to keep schtum.

Ive been reading these sync button threads and it humors me...most people talking are mixing the easiest music to mix...house/techno...one thing i know if your mixing hip hop that sync button does no good...virtual dj bpm counter is never correct with hip hop or r&b or reggae music.
With that said...all you new dj's this is an art...and with all arts it take practice with knowledge of it origin. If you call yourself a DJ you would strive to learn the true basics other than that your just a "selector" Disc Jockey must no how to approach any disc (turntable, cdj, controller) and handle it with out problem. if you walk up on two turntables and cant keep the music going....you are not a dj. No matter what excuse you give, no matter how you personally feel will not change the reality that you are limited and thats one thing a dj should have little of and thats limitations. and if you have a problem with what i said lets battle and settle it...or do djs battle anymore..where im from you couldnt even call yourself a dj and dont get challenged....

You guys crack me up. I don't have half the time as you guys seem to have to debate about this topic with all the work I am doing USING MY SYNC BUTTON.

Now, back to my family which I hope is more important (to others out there) than debating about something that DOSEN'T MATTER!
