I stopped DJing for money on NYE several years ago. Would much prefer to be with family and friends on NYE..
Doesn't mean I'm not DJing though ;-)
My wife and myself, plus 4 other families hire a hall and build a guest list of 20 people each - including ourselves (but not the little uns...)
We all bring our own food, drink, etc and I rock the party!
Max 100 people - who all know each other - no trouble just a really good time.
I know where I would rather be ;-)
Cheers,
Roy

- Double my normal Saturday rate (they charge the customers more, why wouldn't I charge more?)
- Commercial club stuff with old school hip-hop tossed in here and there
- The venue is a restaurant & lounge, but for New Years they set it up more like a club.
