As long as I'm on the decks his songs will NEVER GET PLAYED..... Gangnam Style is one song I haven't nor ever will play.........
 
Not even close to PSY, weak beat & cheesy lyrics. Gangnam is played out, was the "Ice Ice Baby" of 2012.... I'm still playing the remix with Sexy and I Know It and Cant Touch This for now.
 
I know it is not as good, but people will like it anyway. Maybe once they have to dance to it, that will change. For now, love it or hate it he is getting Youtube hits. Which means people know him now.

Funny thing about patrons, they are always looking for the next big song that you don't have yet. So they can brag to thier friends that they know about it and informed you. Most times it is crap, and that is why we may have missed it.

Now, How do you tell a patron that their song is crap and you are not going to play it? Chough chough Rihanna - Diamonds chough chough

The song is no smash it but it is funny and catchy. I don't think it will explode although it already has 12 million views. I certainly won't play it unless everyone is asking for it. Gangnam style is a good fun song just like sexy & I know it. I think Djs take some songs to seriously and say they won't play it. Well if they crowd wants to hear it, I'm playing it. Don't hate on the song, because you are not playing the song for yourself you are playing it for your audience. There is a reason why the song has the most youtube views ever, yes ever; because people want to hear it and do the dance.
 
NEVER EVER HAVE NOR WILL I PLAY IT.................thats the beauty of throwing your own shows, I dont have to cater to anyone but myself and the MC's. And since when has Youtube dictated what a DJ plays??

and the really funny thing is that i had that video before i was forced to play gangnam - and more people danced to Ganga-style than gangnam!

and diamonds? no. i'd almost play bieber first. and that aint happenin!

ain't it fun working in an industry where the customer is usually WRONG.

iv already refused to play it, i dont have it on my lappy but its on my fone... am i bad, i got it as a ring tone.
my next ringtone is gonna be, AFRO CIRCUS from Madagascar 3 lol
 
I blame this one on hip hop, lol! Here we go again, one of those corny catchy tunes that becomes a DJ's pain in the ass! Please don't become a hit in the US, anywhere but here, PLEASE!!!

Already been a hit in the uk. He atually sells fish in a market and was filmed trying to attract customers by singing this lol. Filmed and put on youtube and became a hit. Also got to number 5 in the dance charts too and was a number 1 in the asian charts
 
The guy was working on the market to give himself some income while he was studying here in the UK.

Since the song was released, the college folded therefore husband visa expired and he was deported back to Pakistan.

That's ShowBiz...

Well the beat is fun, if you play some of this style of music which i do sometimes here in houston, the bollywood sound. people will dance to it at private parties. You just have to place it at the right time to get them to dance to it.
 
I told to my self I would never play Gangnam Style cuz I dislike it sooo much!! After a few months one day I played at a club an people asked me for this song. So I told them I didn't have it on my list cuz I don't like it but then I had to download it and finally played it! It wasn't that bad though.

I don't know why it became a hit song... it sucks..
