Topic: wma Files do not play on my new PC...

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hello everyone!! I just got a new PC, I build it with a windows 7 op system. The sound card I use is an M-Audio Pro Track, and it is configure alright, as far as I know...I can play all mp3 files, but I cannot play most of the wma files. The program freezes and does not respond. I spent 2.5 hours with a Max from VDJ, on Monday, he tried to help, but it did not work. I started to re-burn my CDs, but there has to be another way. All these files play just fine on my laptop XP. When I first installed the Virtual DJ on my new pc, some wma files asked me to download a license, and I did, it just opened the browser automatically, but now it does not ask me, and it just freezes the software. Nevertheless to say that I found this out on one event. Lucky I had my laptop hoocked up, just in case of malfunction...Thanks God for plan B... I really need this fixed to play. This is my main rig, since my laptop, started to act up.Please help!!!!
Thank you!
Miguel

If the WMA files have DRM protection then (depending on the terms & conditions of the site you downloaded from) you may only be permitted to use them on one computer.

Even if the terms do allow you to play them on two or three computers, it's usually the case that you have to install their software, login and register that computer on their site, in order to get permission to download the licence.

Once you've done that, the files should play - but only while your subscription is current. If you leave the service, then after a set time the files will not play.

You can't just move the files from the original computer to another. The DRM is there to prevent that.
