Hi,
got a gig next weekend where i will mostly be playing music videos (as well as some mp3s. but mostly video)
I've set up a raspberry pi as a receiver unit, and have successfully used it for streaming from VDJ using the broadcast streaming server built-in.
my question is when i am playing videos, will the streaming server be able to just send the audio over the network to the receiver unit? (i'm playing the videos in one room, but need audio downstairs in the main bar room as well)
im using 7.3 at the moment, but can upgrade to 7.4 if need be. also, I'm using OSX, but can easily switch to winXP if i need to as well...

Guess the answer is simple and means yes :-) from VDJ point of view.
If you play videos inside VDJ, the VDJ broadcast feature will always only broadcast the audio part.
In general the idea sounds great.
Can you explain me a little bit more detailed how you the hole setup looks like? :-)
