I installed Windows 8 on my Bootcamped Macbook Pro when it first came out, then re-installing Windows 7 after a few problems with W8. During this process I lost the Documents folder containing VDJ. Among the bits lost I was unhappy about were all my Playlists from my gigs in Ibiza from 2006 to 2011 plus all my Tracklists that records everything played historically.
The last few days I have been consolidating all my sets that were recorded 'live' in Ibiza for my iPod. Some sets were missing, but, could be recreated if I'd had the playlists. Today i checked out my old Dell laptop that I retired from DJing several years ago...... and........ TADA!!! There were all my Playlists, Tracklists, etc. Copied them all over to my current gigging laptop and everything is back to where it was. I am so pleased, my intention is to put these sets on Mixcloud.
