Does ANYONE have the clean version of 2 Live Crew - Hoochie Mama?

I can't find it anywhere.

I had it but the file got destroyed.

Anyone?

You can buy a clean version from I Tunes or Rhapsody
 
That's the thing.

I don't use itunes. I don't have itunes. I don't have a ipad, ipod or an iphone.

I have never used Rasphody but I will look into it.

I am NOT one of those people that look for free stuff. I have been a Professional DJ for over 23 years. I have paid subscriptions to several pools for music, videos and karaoke. I have purchased ALL my music!

If i'm coming off like you offended me it's because I feel offended.

If i'm wrong about your intent.... Well, I just hope you were trying to give me friendly guidance on where to find the song and not insinuating that i'm some kind of freeloading music thief that doesn't pay for his music.

I went to rhapsody and guess what?
They have the song but I could only find the dirty version.

Unless I am looking in the wrong place or searching incorrectly, you did not find the track in rhapsody.

It leads me to believe that you thought I was one of the freeloaders and you were trying to tell me to pay for my music instead of asking my fellow DJ's and friends if any of them have the song I need.

That's the thing though. I DO have friends here and we help each other out from time to time.

I have Hoochie Moma (Dirty). I need a radio edit (Clean). I was unable to find it so I came to this fine community in which I have a few friends and I asked if anyone has the clean version of the song I need.

I still don't know about your post but it's feeling like I was offended.
 
Wow dude, he did not say "pay for your music" he told you a source in which you could legally purchase the track you wanted.

For the record, he was right. iTunes has Clean and Explicit versions of that song. I checked for you...

If you like and will feel better about yourself, that track is also on the CD soundtrack of the movie "Friday" available on Amazon or any other CD sources.
 
Agreed, the guy was giving only good honest advice, an apology wouldn't go a miss either.

unapologeticaly raunchy ...... also ... now that my curiosity has been piqued ......a CLEAN version of 2 Live Crew ??

what is that , 3 minutes of silence ?

and what do you do with a clean version of 2 Live Crew ? laugh and wish it was dirty?????????????????

i've heard of decaf coffee ...... jumbo shrimp ......now clean 2 Live Crew ........
 
Yea, just listened. The "Clean" version is cleaner, but not clean enough to deem as clean these days. It is much more clean than the origional though, quite funny actually. But the subject matter is still off to ever be deemed "Clean". They still say hoochie constantly, so I would not play it if anyone 13 and under was presant.

You could not play it on the radio as bodily functions that were still mentioned are now considered Explicit by FCC guidelines. Guess rules were more loose in the 80s, no pun intended!
 
Couldn't find a "clean" version on Amazon... I am also curious as to why a clean edit? The content is acceptable but the language isn't?

i don't think the content was ever acceptable , unless procreation , utterly devoid of those pesky complications like

love, relationships , children was alright there at some point in time ?? and the women were objectified and worse ....

so actually the content, what they're actually talking about, is worse than the slang/dirty language they use to describe it

if you ask me....... ??
 
Hey man sorry you were offended but I CHECKED BOTH RHAPSODY AND ITUNES and you can buy the clean version of the song you need.If you don`t want to pay that`s on you but it is available,still 2 live crew but a bit more radio friendly.I just feel like too many DJ`s look for something free just buy what you need and I guarantee you will feel better about your Gigs.Also I do get annoyed by I tunes but it does have some great features like Genius playlist and the playlist you make in Itunes are picked up in VDJ so it can be a good tools for planning your sets

Um, maybe I am wrong here but the OP was upset because he felt the first response was accusing him of not buying his music. When your first response said nothing of the sort. But the OP actually stated very clearly that he does buy all his music after that.

Our/my point was, nobody accused him of not buying music, well until this point I guess.

The OP also hates iTunes (also clearly stated) and iTunes has has the "clean" track that he wants. No need to drag this out anymore, he has the info and he can do what he wants to...

All for helping a guy out which is appreciated that you are willing to do so. But I think you read this thread wrong.
 
Happens to the best of us man, just realize that we are all here to help eachother. That is why we all visit here, to participate and prosper.

Who cares what people think. Do your best take advice with a grain of salt and realize that we were not ment to communicate tone or impression in written text. Seen more arguments start that way. I do wish more people on this forum realized that. I might help more often if they did. Well, that and the whole begging for the next thing sombody can do for them. Wheather it be a skin, next VDJ, etc. Speach over, Can't we all just get allong? :)
