What's up guys last night I did a gig and left my speakers in the back of my truck (avalanche). It had a top on the back but somehow water managed to leak through and last directly on one of my speakers. When I got it out, the speaker was holding water. I haven't cut it on to test it, is there something I should do before I try it besides let it dry out? I got all the water off the speaker. Thanks for the help!

Issues here are damage to paper cone / glues if used in its wet weakened state, water accumulation in magnet area leading to rust, damage to Cabinet and linings.
Carefully dissemble the components and examine for water ingress.
let components dry out, gently using electric fan heater / hair dryer if required.
When all components dry reassemble and test, if components are damaged they probably will need to be replaced.
Best of luck with this.

Take the cone out and see what got wet. If the components are dry your good. Dry the water out of the cabinet and use the hair dryer to dry the speaker box quickly, to minimize the water damage if their wood. Let it air dry as long as possible before you put it together and test. If its powered, you really have to be sure your amp didn't get wet. If it did you might need to have the pros take a look first.

Took it all apart, a first the cone was really weak as I could tell by touching it, after blow drying and dis assembling it for 30 mins, it worked fine, no damage done! Tey were powered, the actual cone was holding water. Thanks for the tips.

If the cabinet is made from pressed wood or mdf (painted or not) it can eventually blister. It may look good now but in the future you may see changes. It happened to my JBL subs a while ago. I left them outside after a night of partying. Unfortunitely I had to throw away the cabinets. The speakers were fine.
