Topic: Time for new equipment!

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I use a time code set up (Tech 1200's, serato CV2, American Audio MXR 14) for a lot of gigs. I do however have a MTP which has been a good little controller for about a year and a half, but since it's out of warranty and the crossfader has decided to slowly start to die and start drifting on its own...its time for something new. It's not always easy to carry in the turntables and mixer to a gig even though they are in a coffin. Hence why I purchased the MTP in the first place, so that it was easy to transport, and set up (its carried around in an Odyssey case) to the gigs where it wasnt optimal for turntables.

I'm now looking at either the Numark NS6 and Pioneer DDJ-S1 since I can get either one brand new for around $500 locally. I don't foresee ever needing 4 channels, which the NS6 has but it could be a benefit if I decide to use it. The S1 is plastic, while the NS6 has a metal construction. I will without a fact be buying an Odyssey case at the time of purchase of the controller regardless of the one I choose just because I dont like having it without any kind of protection while traveling. I dont care about connecting external sources up since I have my time code set up already.

I just want something that is a quality piece of equipment, sounds great, and has enough functionality to control loops, effects, and hot cues which both do. So, that being said....help me decide and spend $700(controller and case)! lol

For $700 you might be able to find a used DDJ-SX. This is supposedly the best controller you can buy. You might have to spend a little on the case though.

Buy The DDJ SX. Its a nice deck.
