Hey everyone. I figured since I always come for help here, I might could come here for this question.
I'm a songwriter and guitarist. I need a way to record my music the right way, instead of using my iphone.
Does anyone have any tips on what to do? I don't even know where to began. I want to use video's, but I want the sound quality perfect. Here is my facebook link to my page. If anyone has any idea's please let me know!

You could use a free program called Audacity to record live with your instruments. Theres plenty of tutorials in youtube on how to use the program.

Depends on what right way you mean. A free way would be audacity, a cheap but better route would be a decent usb condenser mic with le software (sonar is excellent), a more expensive but flexible way would be to get a good recording interface, good condenser and paid software like Sonar X2 and studio monitors. I'm using an mxl v69 tube condenser, mxl r144 ribbon mic, edirol m-16dx mixer/ recording interface (can record 16 channels at once), voicelive play, voxguard reflection filter, sonar x2 pe, krk gorokit 8 studio monitors, shure srh440 headphones and I also use digetech rp1000 for guitar fx/processing/ recording and bp355 for bass.
This is a simple option http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=811053&is=REG&Q=&A=details
I use h2n for audio when filming, it does do a really nice job.

I would recommend calling Sweetwater and telling them what you want to do, their sales engineers are awesome, and make sure you get some books or videos about techniques. One technique I use for acoustic artists (who want to sing and play at the same time), is to use 2 figure 8 mics, one on vocals one on guitar, since figure 8 mics reject side noise very well it provides better separation giving you greater control on the overall mix;^]
