I converted all my macbook itunes music to an external harddrive, then to my new windows PC. The problem is all music files on my harddrive contains my cues/comments and such, but the music on my new PC does not contain the cues/comments. I was told by VDJ staff that there is no way to convert the cues to my new PC itunes music. They also told me there is no way to convert my itunes playlists to my external harddrive.
This results in me either A) having to start using my external harddrive, which will not contain all of my music playlists. This harddrive contains over 2,000+ folders which are organized somewhat, but I refuse to manually organize the messy folders...it would literally take days, BUT within itunes these music files are very organized. Choice B) is go through all of my itunes music and put the cues and comments back in, which I also refuse to go through 10,000 songs because that again, would take days. Lastly, even if I do start using my external harddrive, that would result in my having to use a USB hub, WHICH IS THE REASON I GOT THIS PC IN THE FIRST PLACE....TO HAVE 3 USB PORTS FOR MY DECKS!!!!!
My questions are, how do you people use your external harddrive? Do you all seriously go folder by folder in hopes that the music is in the right folders? This external harddrive doesn't even allow me to make a playlist within itself, which portrays itself as useless to me. Like I said, my folders are not 100% accurate - there are folders with the most random giberish names. I understand you can search, but seriously I can't remember 10,000 songs off the top of my head. Another question is, is there any program out there that can manually organize your external harddrive music? (I doubt it but it's worth a shot to ask).
It's a long shot getting accurate help within this forum, but I'm on the verge of snapping my laptops in half and saying f$%k it! It's the biggest headache ever.
