This is going to replace my ZOMO MC1000, I can't wait to get my hands on this thing!

It's a hell of a lump of ca$h for a box with some knobs & buttons!

I mean you could get four or five Behringer CMD modules for $499.

1 after expenses and I sell my ZOMO it's paid for, LOL!

and you can map the DDJ SP1 to do mostly the same as those 5 Beheringer CMD's and 4 less cables to think about + there should be room for 1 DDJ SP1 in most DJ booths not true for 5 CMD's :D

Yeah I know it's smaller, one cable etc. but that's also my point - you don't get very much for your money.

I have no issue spending cash on things that have a function, but stuff like this does SFA unless it's connected to a computer. Based on that, there's a limit to what I'm prepared to pay. I just don't think it's worth it. I worked in electronics for almost 30yrs, I know what goes inside these things!

For something with that number of pads, knobs and buttons, I'd say $250 would be more realistic - but hey, it's Pioneer. :-)

The pads do have 8 banks so thats 64 button on each side. Press the hotcue button gives 8 pads, shift+ hotcue is an other set of 8 buttons. using the shift + pad gives you 128 buttons on each side so it is really a lot you get for the money 256 pads without even using modifiers.
