why does no one post videos and images???

Yep looks fantastic , but why oh why is there no eq on the mic !! Makes it absolutely useless for me , what a shame. But fair play to Pioneer , they really are making the controller market a lot more exciting.

Me too.... but of course real DJs work in clubs and don't need a Mic :;

lol know exactly what you mean ha ha. looks like the mic input might become the new sync button debate :)

Ah but the "club standard" (according to Pioneer) DDJ-SX has two mic inputs - one on XLR combi - with full three way EQ, courtesy of the two outer mixer channels.

Now on this smaller unit, which will probably be more attractive to mobile DJs because of the price and size, they've taken away something which is surely more important to a mobile DJ - the decent mic input with EQ.

It makes me wonder sometimes who they employ in their R&D dept.

Well said groovin' , it looks like it could be a sweet little unit apart from the mic eq issue and could be really well priced too. Ah well here's hoping for the next time around

According to the DJWORX review, it's 599 Euros.

In the mid 70s Pioneer made a "DJ mixer" called the MA-62.......and even that had a low cut switch on the mic inputs.

I still like my Mixdeck Quad with 2 LPD8's better then both of those Pioneer units. I have the same functionality plus the ability to play CDs or play off of jump, flash, thumb or harddrives, lol! Wish my platters were a little better quality but hell I'm satisfied with it.
No reason for me to switch out.......

This should IMO have less appeal to mobile DJ's then the SX not just for the microphone. It only has 1 AUX or Mic in it is only USB powered. Computer crashes no sound whats so ever until your computer is rebooted so the AUX is not going to be for backup rather an extension for a cd play or mp3 player. It's only 11x2 cm smaller and 1.3 kg lighter. I see this more as something to have at home if you usually play on CDJ's in clubs. The DDJ SR would give you a close enough feel to the club setup to practice at home.

Why don't they employ a working DJ off one of these forums?

It's a nice replacement for the RMX or similar controller but with no alternative source built in, power, balanced XLR's etc, it's really just another half built controller.

I wonder what Numark Will come up with Next after the NS6. The Pioneer DDJ SX has a lot of inspiration for the NS6. The jogs, The metallic case, etc.

I want a new version of twitch to compliment my turntables

you were reading my mind, for that price and only usb powered. As i a mobile dj i will not buy a usb powered controller or pay a price like this without the stand-alone mixer function. Thats just me though.

I picked this up about a week and a half ago and ive done one house party with it so far and it works flawlessly with sarato and even thoe the mic doesnt have an eq the mike does work fairly well

plus i think my favorite thing is the dual beat pads that offer two different fx pads that come in very handy when mixing on the fly super dope for mixing fast like every 30 seconds to a minute especially for you trap and dub lovers very easy to create a ton of different types of builds on the fly also both sides of your fx controls work on whatever deck is playing also
