Nope. We're all from the island of misfit toys 'round here.....

I would love to have all my old vinyl still. One of the biggest DJ'ing related regret I have is selling all my records when I quit DJing for the 3rd time back in 2001. I was moving from SoCal to Dallas and just did not want to move em. I guess I can look at the bright side, I don't have records cluttering my apartment???

I've also sold and bought turntable 4 times now, basically every time I've quit DJing and come back into, I've had to buy gear all over again.

Lesson learned: if I ever quit DJing again, I will be keeping all my stuff just in case I get the itch to go back.

I have personally returned to college. I still do some gigs here or there, and book a few weddings during the summer still.

But, still since I am not in the bar / club scene. People are always hitting me up via one social media or another. Hey man you wanting to sell that _________ you have.. I am sure you are hurting for cash.. Or sell this or that... The thing is I am not hurting for cash, and I don't wish to sell them. I may not use everything anymore. But the thing is it was rather $ to accumulate all of everything dj related in the first place.

I just wanted to say think you xcakid for making me feel like I have made the right decision in keeping everything.

I used to have two 20 full crates and now down to 10. I like to play Todd Terry tracks from the lare 80s. If I were to stop dj ing, I would still keep my techs.

It's much more convenient with mp3s but I would like to get a hold of some techniks. I'm curious to see the difference between a controller and those things. There's so much I still don't understand...

Really good advert

I need that Ikea team :-)

Still got all my vinyl that I've gathered since the 70s. Suitcases full of 7" singles, loads of 12" singles and albums scattered between two rooms. Lots of the 70s were Soul & Jazz Funk imports from the USA. Many of the 80s 12" singles were from the start of the Acid House period. Also lots of House 12" singles from 2003-2007 (when the pic below was taken).

Still got my Technics 1210s flight cased, sold the Pioneer DJM600 mixer.

Technics 1210s

My Dj's keep it up. Play the music that we all love and made you want to be a Dj...

@ Jmavila. DJ ing on turntables is completely different feel from a midi controller. On a Turntable, There's no pitch bend and, Raising or lowering the tempo is a slightly slower in pick up response (Using time Code Vinyl). If you know how to use it, It feels great blending or scratching.

When I first got on controllers, I wanted to pitch ride and nudge. That really threw off my mixes. hahahah. It's really funny nowadays, I practice on my TT's but more often than not, I am taking my controllers out on gigs due to its ease of portability. I mainly use my TT's for club gigs, but lately, the club gigs I have been getting have had CDJs installed.
