Recently I converted all my virtual folders into playlists so i could use them in other programs and print playlists for clients who wish to know what was played at a certain event.
As long as I had folders in virtual folders I was able to recurse them and have a list of all songs in a folder and subfolders.
In playlists with the same file structure, when I right click on the parent folder I see the recurse option but nothing happens.
Please let me know what I am missing.

Sorry, playlists can't be recursed. This is only possible for real folders and their sub-folders.
Only one playlist can be loaded at any time.
If you are organising your music collection, then ideally you should use folders and sub-folders which can be expanded/collapsed and recursed in VirtualDJ's browser. Playlists are for making lists of specific files in a specific play order (E.g: For background music.)
Virtual folders allow music to be organised within VirtualDJ's browser without changing it's original location. This is especially useful if you make genre/event specific folders and wish to have the same file in multiple folders without having physical duplicates of the file.
Filter folders can also be used for organisation by automatically finding and displaying files from VirtualDJ's database that match given criteria.
